Backed by a 70-year global corporate heritage our client is a global specialist in grid-scale battery storage infrastructure, this developer operates an expansive multi-gigawatt project pipeline driven by a growing international team. The firm actively deploys, owns, and operates utility-scale solutions to secure grid resilience across critical markets, including the UK, Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden etc.
This high-visibility role offers direct exposure to senior management, the General Counsel and commercial teams, with genuine responsibility for supporting the growth of the Italian business.
The primary focus will be Italian administrative and regulatory law, particularly project development, land, grid connection and permitting. The position will also involve corporate governance, compliance and coordination of wider legal matters, including M&A, joint ventures, construction and financing.
Working closely with the Italian business and international legal team, the successful candidate will provide pragmatic legal advice, identify risks and support projects from origination through to ready-to-build status.
You will collaborate with a range of internal and external stakeholders, steer negotiations from the legal perspective, manage external legal counsels and ensure that the legal support contributes to achieving the business goals in compliance with applicable laws.
The ideal candidate will be a commercially minded and proactive lawyer, able to work autonomously, manage multiple matters and translate complex legal issues into practical business advice.
Excellent written and spoken Italian and English are required. Additional European languages are a plus.
