We are seeking a Head of Legal Italy who will report directly to the company’s Legal Director and is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all legal activities supporting the Group’s business operations in Italy. The role provides legal advice and guidance to management and corporate functions across all relevant areas of expertise.

The successful candidate will support tendering processes, contract negotiation and the execution phase of projects, ensuring that legal risks are properly identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle. The position is responsible for handling legal matters, litigation and internal legal advisory activities, with a particular focus on public procurement and construction contracts.

The Head of Legal – Italy will coordinate external legal advisors, ensuring effective management of external legal support and alignment with the company’s objectives. The role also collaborates closely with the Corporate Affairs function and supports activities related to Legislative Decree 231/2001, delegation of authority frameworks and corporate procedures.

The position requires close interaction with the company’s Legal Director, the Head of International Legal, senior management and the company’s key business functions, particularly General Management, Operations and Corporate departments.

The ideal candidate holds a Law degree and is admitted to the Bar, even if not currently practicing, and has around 5/7 post qualification professional experience in structured legal environments. A strong background in civil, commercial, and administrative law is required, with specific expertise in public procurement. The ideal professional will possess a strong results-oriented mindset, the ability to work effectively in a team, and the capacity to operate within complex organizational settings.

The selected candidate will play a key role in providing legal support to the company’s business functions throughout all phases of construction projects in Italy.

You will provide legal support to the various business functions and contribute to the management of the department’s main activities.

The successful candidate will support the drafting and review of procurement, subcontracting and supply agreements, as well as joint venture agreements in the construction sector. They will also provide legal assistance to the company’s business functions in relation to civil, commercial and administrative law, with particular focus on the construction industry, while also contributing to the management of the system of delegations and powers of attorney within the corporate governance framework. The role will also involve monitoring sector regulations and keeping the business up to date on legislative developments.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Law and has 3–4 years of experience gained in law firms or medium to large-sized companies.
