Our client is an international group that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawyer to join their legal team in Milan. The role focuses on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and logistics operations for large-scale infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will bring deep legal knowledge, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record in international contracts.
The Legal Expert will be responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence on EPC and logistics projects. She or he will review and assess risks in third-party contracts, performance guarantees, and commercial agreements, identifying and mitigating potential legal risks that may arise in construction, logistics, or supply chain operations. Close collaboration with internal teams will be key in order to provide actionable legal recommendations and ensure smooth project delivery.
The role includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex EPC and logistics agreements, while also developing and managing contract templates, policies, and procedures. The Legal Expert will advise on contract modifications, amendments, and disputes, ensuring that contractual obligations are respected and that the company secures favourable terms in all negotiations.
Another important aspect of this position is monitoring local, national, and international legal developments that affect EPC and logistics operations, while implementing strategies to ensure full compliance with industry standards and applicable laws. The Legal Expert will also work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and external counsel when required, supporting dispute resolution processes and ensuring alignment with the company’s risk management strategies.
The ideal candidate will have between five and seven years of experience in EPC contracts, logistics, construction law, or large-scale infrastructure projects, combined with proven expertise in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements in these fields. Attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities, proficiency with legal and project management tools, and fluency in English will complete the profile.
