Our client, an Energy company which is an experienced player in the renewables sector in Europe and Latin America, with a track record of more than 10 years. The firm is looking to hire a talented Lawyer to join their Italian team based in Rome. The successful candidate will support the Italian office’s pipeline of projects, with the opportunity to assist on other projects and business workstreams across the Group.
You will be involved in an exciting development pipeline on a variety of multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary energy projects. You will counsel other departments on all type of legal matters (related to development, construction and operation of Photovoltaic Projects located in Italy). You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts, land rights agreements, and other legal documents (development agreements, EPC, O&M, Financing Contracts, SPA, SHA, amongst others). You will be involved in Due Diligence process and manage and coordinate external advisors. You will be up to date on Italian laws, regulations, and practices affecting the energy sector in Italy.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills (both Italian and English – Spanish knowledge will be considered a plus) with capacity of working independently and wanting to grow within an organisation in constant growth in the sector. Availability to travel within Italy is a must.
